An Inclusive Digital Experience

Digital accessibility is no longer an option in this generation and beyond.  Disability inclusion is driving innovation, the future of work, equal customer and employee experience, and new technology. Businesses that do embrace disability inclusion at all levels of the organization, across all workplace functions, will be more successful and competitive.

Digital accessibility is a concept that extends beyond just websites. It encompasses all digital content and technologies, such as standalone digital documents, multimedia (like videos and audio), mobile applications, and even digital kiosks. The goal is to make all digital tools and content accessible to all users, including those who have visual, auditory, physical, neurological, intellectual/cognitive, learning and/or neurodivergent disabilities.

What We Do

At EMBRACE 2 Learn Inc., it’s a commitment to creating inclusive, barrier-free online experiences for everyone, including people with visible and invisible disabilities. Our seamless approach addresses all aspects of digital interactivity between people, products, information without limitations, barriers, or constraints for people with (in)visible disabilities.  This includes:

  • captioned videos,
  • learning platforms,
  • online events,
  • e-books, and
  • internal systems.

Another Perspective...

Everyone knows that captions are important for those who are deaf or hard of hearing, but they are also helpful to those with cognitive disabilities or English language learners.  For example, individuals with:

  • Dyslexia
  • Autism
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Processing Deficits
  • Short-term Memory Loss

Also, other benefits are:

  • Help with comprehension of dialogue that is spoken very quickly, with accents, mumbling, or background noise.
  • Video that mentions full names, brand names, or technical terminology provides clarity for the viewer.
  • Online videos with subtitles enjoy higher user engagement and better user experience
  • Allow viewers to watch videos in sound-sensitive environments (e.g. subway).

We help organizations create barrier-free digital experiences that reflect their commitment to inclusion, equity, and innovation.  Investing in digital accessibility is a smart, future-forward decision. EMBRACE 2 Learn Inc. brings authenticity and excellence to every project, ensuring that your digital content reflects your organization’s values and commitment to equity. Let us show you how accessible design isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a powerful way to elevate your impact and stand out in a crowded marketplace.

Why Digital Accessibility Matters

Over 1 in 5 Canadians live with a disability, and this number is increasing. When digital products are not designed with accessibility in mind, it can prevent individuals from applying for jobs, accessing education, booking services, or even reading basic information. Ensuring accessibility isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s a legal, ethical, and competitive advantage. With the Accessible Canada Act, 2019 (ACA, 2019), User Agent Accessibility Guidelines (UAAG), and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA, 2005) in force, inclusive digital design is now a must-have, not a nice-to-have.

Examples of Digital Accessibility in Action

    • A university offering captioned video lectures and accessible online forms to ensure equal access for students with hearing or mobility impairments.
    • A public transportation kiosk designed using plain language to make purchases accessible to all travelers including people with a learning or cognitive disability, is neurodivergent, experiences short-term memory, amongst others.
    • A small business implementing color contrast adjustments and alt text so that customers who are [partially] blind or colored-blind can browse and shop using a mobile app.
    • Future technology integration. Companies exploring emerging technologies, such as AI-driven assistive tools and augmented reality, that enhance accessibility.

Remember, if your digital content isn’t fully accessible to everyone, you’re inadvertently excluding a large audience – up to 1.3 billion potential customers.
